What is my moon sign?

People hear a lot about moon signs and sun signs. Sometimes they even confuse them with each other, believing them to be the same. But that’s true. Sun signs are a western astrological concept while moon signs belong to India. They give a deeper insight into a person’s life, the past, present and the future. It is a common belief that the moon holds a lot of magical qualities. This has been true from the ancient times. The moon signs are basically based on the time of a person’s birth. Indians have 27 stars in which to calculate these signs. When a person is born, depending on the position of these stars, they are allocated a particular moon sign. They are related to sun signs. There are 12 sun signs, each for a particular position of the sun, which changes every month. So that means there is a sun sign for each month. So moon signs actually come under sun signs in that each position of the moon has a couple of stars. Thus moon signs are a closer lookup whereas sun signs are much more general.

There are a lot of ways to look at moon signs. It can be seen by the person’s name, their birth date, or even their birth year. Each one has certain significance, covers a particular part of that person’s life. The number can be calculated by adding the digits of those numbers so as to bring them to a single digit. In the case of the person’s name, each alphabet should be assigned a number, i.e. a is 1, b is 2 and so on, and then the digits should be added again and brought to a single number. These digits are those person’s numerology numbers. Their astrology is seen with the help of these numbers.
